PostSubject: Introduce yourself   Introduce yourself EmptyTue May 31, 2011 4:19 pm

Hey guys so this is the place to introduce youself, ill start

Name is Jason also known as Dj apollis or apollo (but only to ravers)

Ive been in the scene for about 3 years now, djing for about 18 months.

I love hard dance, hardstyle and uk hard the most but will listen to other styles when out and about at events.

Sadly i know this forum is mainly focused around shuffling, but i do not shuffle not that i choose not too i just gotta find the time to learn lol. I do however stomp, jumpstyle, and hakken (not very good hakken have my own style) i basically will do a heap of things on the dance floor incorporating many movement types just to have fun.

My main contribution in the scene is my kandi making lol.

Anyways hoping to meet heaps of other people that are in the scene for the love of the music and industry and not because they think its cool to shuffle and pick up chicks with it, after all it is the REAL ROCKERS forum lol, go George!!!!

Hey Guys!

Names Michael. I've been raving for around 3-4 years now. Unfortunately I don't shuffle I just try and Gabber. Haha
But really it all comes probz the point that we all came into the scene for the music. I live for hardstyle every now and then
I listen to hardcore but I really prefer the older stuff from it.

I call myself the Defqon Clown because ever since Defqon in 2010 I have worn a clown mask to every rave I've gone to. And i managed to get myself into the Defqon aftermovie from we own the night. Once I saw myself on it i was the happiest person alive haha.

I only recently started djing but haven't come up with a DJ name yet but my mix will hopefully be finished next week Smile

Well that's from me and remember the message is hardstyle cheers

Thats cool Jason i never knew u filmed as much as you do hey... Smile
And thats what rocking is lol i define it as dancing... I mean thats what its all about hey. I just had to base the forum on a specific topic and there are literally 100's of music ones and rave is too broad. I love shuffling and alot of ppl make shuffle vids, so bam the idea formed itself really haha

Its really just a place to add all the cool stuff you have or you find so we can all love it too Smile

Keep it up guys and invite ppl like us. This wont work if we dont get more ppl involved... Ill make u guys all Mod's so u can controll posts and people n things Smile

Oh, figured i should introduce myself too lol

Well started raving 3 years ago. But loved Hard Dance (or Trance before Hardstyle) back in the day since i was like 16, or 9 years ago.
Started going out and loved the music. Saw some ppl shuffling who are now my really good mates, and started myself. Took me ALONG time and only now do i feel confident enough in everything i do.

Skip ahead 3 years and i just love the scene. Im all bout Hardstyle but really love Hard Trance just as much nowadays. Now really all Hard Dance is loved by me... Got 60 Gig or music on my computer and 59.5 Gig of that is Hard Dance Wink Dont bother listening to other crap. I dont feel the need to 'fit in' with specific groups or like certain things just cause mates like them. So thats why i love other ravers so much, you instantly have so many things in common. Thats another thing i love appart from the music and shuffling, its friends and meeting new friends! Smile

So i plan to be in the scene, well forever really... Maybe not the same as now but hopefully working as a career or just as a hobby so i can stay in touch with it...

Duno if thats a good introduction, i tend to talk shit alot haha

Hey everyone.

Firstly, a BIG thumbs-up & thank you to George for inviting me to this forum: the forum for REAL rockers who love the rave scene, in particular, the music, the shuffling, & the respect of friendships made in the scene.

Well i was born & raised in Melbourne for 21 years before leaving in 2006, & then finally settled in Newcastle in 2007. I first started listening to Techno back in 1995, at the tender age of 11, when the big hits like "Here's Johnny" & "The X-Files Theme" would be pumped out of the casette player. In 1999, at the age of 15, i had my first attempt at shuffling! 11 years later, & i'm still in love with the scene, shuffling more than i ever have!! Very Happy

In my underage years, our group would hire out the local footy oval hall & throw parties where older cousins of my friends, who were aspirig DJ's, would pump out Trance for us younger guys to learn our individual dance styles, while they practiced their DJing. It was a win-win situation for all of us.

Unfortunately, as we all got older, everyone went their separate ways, & i drifted further away from the scene. I never stopped listening to the music, my love being Hard Trance & Hardstyle, but my shuffling went on the backburner as i would just do a toned-down version in the corner of the local commercial clubs. After leaving Melbourne in 2006, i was certain the scene didn't exist anywhere else like it did back home, especially when i moved to Newcastle. After giving up hope, i heard of a Hard Dance night being held. It was that night that i re-discovered the Hard Dance scene, & was then introduced to George, who has brought me back into the world of raving. For that, i thank you so much man!! Very Happy

So here i am 11 years later still shuffling, loving every second of it. I have met some awesome people, have unforgettable memories, & have so much respect for a scene that is a world of it's own where nothing else matters. cheers

Wow thats cool man!!! Really you put on your own parties? Fuck tht would be an epic thing to see and do haha!
Shuffling for 11 years hey? Damn! Think you beat everyone i know lol Ive been listening to the music for a while but no where near as long as you man! You are DEFIANTLY a REAL rocker! Thats what its about hey Smile

Love the insight these intro's are getting hey. Like we all know each other but no-one really know of everyone's origins in the scene.

Well man see you this arvy, and if u have any cool vids, post em up Smile

It was the older cousins of my friends who really threw the parties. Because we were all underage, they thought it would be a good idea just to hire out the local hall used for birthdays, functions, etc. & just charge us $5 each to get some of the money back. That way they could practice their DJing in front of an audience, test out their lights, lasers, strobes, etc. & we could just go nuts & enjoy ourselves. It was good while it lasted. Too bad everyone lost touch.

As i said though, i haven't shuffled for the whole 11 years. There was a good chunk of years i barely did it at all once we all split up & went our different ways, as well as me leaving Melbourne. Hence why i'm still a bit sketchy sometimes.

Well see you soon man. Time to party alien bounce cheers bounce alien
